A Beautiful Woman is a Woman Who’s Growing

It’s hard to feel beautiful when you feel stuck. It’s nearly impossible to radiate joy and beauty when there’s nothing you’re looking forward to.

And it’s really hard to feel gorgeous when you also feel like you’re failing.Or going backwards in life. Or becoming a worse version of yourself than you were before.

Today we’re talking about the next thing that holds us back from feeling truly beautiful: feeling like we’re not growing.

Human performance expert Tony Robbins (whose work has changed the lives of millions of people around the world) says that feeling like we’re growing is one of the few factors that determines human happiness.

I agree! Knowing you’re growing is so connected to our self-confidence. It can be hard to love yourself when you feel stagnant.

Why is this? Because just like nature, we were designed to grow!

We ripen and sweeten over time, like fruit. Our nuances and flavors become more pronounced, like maturing wines. We get stronger - like skinny shoots that grow up into massive trees. We open up and bloom and blossom, like spring flowers.

If you’re thinking, “Yes! That’s exactly how I feel!” … here are a few ideas for you:

Realize that your current challenges
are your opportunities for growth.

Struggling with speaking up for yourself?

This is the perfect time to feel yourself grow into a woman with confidence and self-assurance!

You can graciously speak your mind and not feel strangled by other people's opinions of you.

Look back at old journals.

One way I love to celebrate my own growth is to look back at old journals and diaries.

When you start to read the things that worried you or angered you last year (or even last month!), you’ll realize how far you’ve come in so many areas of your life.

Dust Off A Dream

The last way to get back that feeling that you’re growing and moving forward in life is to give yourself a goal to grow into!

If you’ve always wanted to learn another language, download a language app or sign up for classes.

If you’ve always loved painting but haven’t made time for it in your life, challenge yourself to create something new every two weeks.

If you’ve been avoiding signing up for a marathon because you think, “Next year I’ll try ...” sign up right now.

Having goals that light you up and making a promise to yourself to pursue them is a surefire way to feel yourself grow. And in doing so, to feel like a much more beautiful human being, flourishing the way you were designed to.
